It now appears that the Tulane University business school provided false admissions data to US News for its graduate school issue for several years while Bucknell University provided fake undergraduate SAT scores to US News.
This piles on news about data fabrication from GW, Emory and Claremont McKenna. And that doesn't even mention provision of false law school admissions data. It is precisely this grim state of affairs that makes the former head of the FBI the perfect higher ed attorney.
I think most people imagine that there are scores of other examples, most of which may never see the light of day. And each new instance inflicts incalculable damage on all providers of higher education.
