Judge House Trivia

P6270380 I'm out of town these days, on a research trip, so it's time for a trivia question.  Here's a house of a famous jurist.  Am I making this too easy by saying that it's in Richmond, Virginia?

  1. Calvin Massey

Has to be John Marshall's home.

  2. SV

Is it by design that the banner on the front porch railing gives away the answer?

  3. Alfred Brophy

You are, of course, correct Calvin. And SV–you have very good eyesight.

I highly recommend the house; it's been about a dozen years since I've been inside, but it's a really lovely home and quite close to other key sites in downtown Richmond — like the Washington Equine statue, the Library of Virginia, the White House of the Confederacy, MCV's Egyptian building — and a little further off are the Tredegar Iron Works… and, of course Hollywood Cemetery! Great stuff.

My next trivia question will have to be a little harder. I'll have to look through my old files for a little bit tougher one.
