Paul Berman To Helm GW Law

George Washington University School of Law announced that Paul Schiff Berman will be its new dean, taking over July 1.  Berman has served as dean at Arizona State's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law since August of 2008.  He was  previously on the faculty of the University of Connecticut School of Law.  Berman is an NYU Law graduate, and clerked for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  I've previously blogged about his plans to cut ASU's fiscal ties to the State of Arizona.  Apparently some heated rhetoric from our friends over at ATL did not dissuade the folks at GW.   At 45, entering his second deanship, and taking the helm at an elite law school, Berman appears to be a rising star in university administration.
