Law Prof Named Texas Solicitor General

Mitchell_jonathan George Mason law prof Jonathan Mitchell (pictured) was named by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott on Friday as the state's new solicitor general.  A Chicago law grad, Mitchell's experience includes clerkships with Michael Luttig and Antonin Scalia, and time with the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel.  Mitchell joined George Mason's faculty in 2008.
