Well, there’s a course in wine law at Berkeley — so why not?
I missed the following news because I was buried in exams in December — a law firm in Birmingham recently filed a motion to postpone trial because it conflicts with the Alabama-Texas game. And then there’s the restrictive covenant on the condominium overlooking the Alabama football team’s practice field. Dan Filler has written some about Nick Saban’s contract. There’s a lot one could do with that, I’d imagine — from liquidated damages to breach.
Back around the fall of 2002 I asked a final exam question about liquidated damages based on contract between the Alabama and Oklahoma football teams — and another year, probably around 2004, I asked about a liquidated damages provision in the contract to expand the stadium. Hey, we’ve almost got a course!
Don't leave out the fact that Mark Ingram's father is scheduled to be sentenced the day after the big game. I've been thinking about whether and how the son's fortunes might impact the dad's sentencing fate.
