The University of Akron School of Law is hiring an Assistant Professor of Academic Success. This is a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track appointment that may lead to presumptively renewable five-year contracts. The successful candidate will teach ten to twelve credits per year, focusing primarily on academic and bar success. They will also oversee the academic and bar preparation programs.

Candidates should have strong academic records (including a J.D. or its equivalent) and either experience in law practice or a judicial clerkship (or both). They should be able to show a strong interest and competency in teaching legal research and writing.
Akron Law has a collegial and supportive faculty and provides excellent mentorship to junior faculty. Northeast Ohio has a relatively low cost of living and is a great place to raise a family. We have wonderful parks, including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a few minutes’ drive from campus and we are just thirty minutes from downtown Cleveland.
