The University of Kansas School of Law invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track visiting professor/associate professor for the 2024-25 academic year.
The law school seeks candidates with demonstrated scholarly achievement and teaching excellence in the areas of Torts, Criminal Law, and one other course to be mutually agreed upon. Job Description
For a full academic year position, duties include the following:
50% - Teach three courses. This includes class preparation, meeting and counseling students, and administering final exams.
40% - Conduct and publish research.
10% - Provide some service to the law school, university, and the legal profession.
Required Qualifications
Visiting Associate Professor:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school.
- Demonstrated outstanding academic and legal performance.
- Two (2) years law school teaching experience, including teaching Criminal Law and Torts, is strongly preferred.
Visiting Professor:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school.
- Demonstrated outstanding academic and legal performance.
- Four (4) years of law school experience teaching Criminal Law and Torts.
