From a recent email message:
Jacksonville University College of Law welcomed its first class of students in 2022. As the College continues to grow, we invite applications from both entry-level and lateral candidates for full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty positions with possible start dates as early as the 2024-2025 academic year.
The College of Law has particular interest in faculty teaching contracts, corporations, tax, civil procedure, legal writing, constitutional law, and family law; however, as a newer law school looking to substantially grow our faculty over the next few years, we welcome applications from candidates in all areas of expertise. Flexibility in teaching across the curriculum and experience with the ABA accreditation process will be highly valued, as will appreciation and enthusiasm for the unique challenges and opportunities of building a new law school.
All positions require a JD or equivalent degree. The College of Law is a unitary track faculty, and all candidates must show a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. We strongly encourage applications from people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, veterans, and others whose background and life experiences contribute to the diversity of our faculty and the law school.
Applications and any questions should be emailed directly to [email protected]. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, and list of three references, should be submitted as soon as possible, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
