We're nuthin' if not ecumenical around here, and note Tom Jones's excellent pronunciation with the soft Y sound, almost "eedisheh" with only a hint of the consonant, instead of the more commonly anglicized hard consonant Y of "yiddishe." He is a serious music scholar, though his choice of material has not always shown it.
