The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law seeks to fill up to seven tenured or tenure-track positions. For doctrinal faculty, we are seeking to fill positions in Constitutional Law (tenured or tenure-track) and Property/Land Use (tenured). We welcome candidates who, in addition to one of those two fields, have expertise in Administrative Law, Business and Commercial Law, Environmental Law, Family Law, Health Law, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment Law, Native Hawaiian Law, and Pacific-Asian Legal Studies.
We also seek to hire two Legal Writing faculty, one tenure-track and one tenured who could also be appointed to serve as the Director of Legal Writing; a tenured professor with experiential learning expertise who could also be appointed to serve as the Director of Experiential Learning; a tenure-track professor to direct the Immigration Law Clinic; and a tenure-track Reference and Instructional Services Librarian.

The Law School is located in Mānoa on the flagship campus of the University of Hawai‘i system. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to furthering UH Mānoa’s mission as a community-serving university grounded in a Native Hawaiian place of learning. Minimum Qualifications:
An outstanding record of academic and/or professional achievement, a Juris Doctor degree or equivalent, and a potential for or demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and public service.
Desirable Qualifications:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, faculty, alumni, government officials, community members, and members of the bar, and to thrive in multicultural and multidisciplinary contexts.
Demonstrated interest in teaching, scholarship, and/or service that benefits the diverse, multicultural communities of Hawaiʻi and the Pacific region.
Experience in and commitment to teaching law effectively in a variety of modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid.
