Jacksonville University College of Law invites applications from both entry-level and lateral candidates for two or three full-time, tenure-track faculty positions to begin at the start of the 2023-24 academic year. As a new law school looking to substantially grow our faculty over the next few years, we are hiring in all areas of expertise, with a particular need at this point for criminal law/criminal procedure and legal writing. Flexibility in teaching across the curriculum and experience with the ABA accreditation process will be highly valued, as will appreciation and enthusiasm for the unique challenges and opportunities of building a new law school.
All positions require a JD or equivalent degree. The College of Law is a unitary track faculty, and all candidates must show a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. We strongly encourage applications from people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, veterans, and others whose background and life experiences contribute to the diversity of our faculty and the law school.
Applications and any questions should be emailed directly to [email protected]. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, and list of three references, should be submitted as soon as possible, and will be reviewed beginning September 15 and on a rolling basis thereafter.
