Legal Writing Lecturer Position
The University of South Dakota School of Law looks to hire an entry-level or lateral legal writing instructor, dependent upon qualifications. This is a lecturer position that will start at the beginning of or during the 2022-2023 academic year.
The successful candidate will teach in our 1L Legal Analysis & Writing (LAW) program as well as select upper-division writing courses.
The successful applicant would be primarily responsible for teaching and secondarily for service. As this is not a tenure-track position, scholarship is not required, although it is supported. The successful applicant must have earned a J.D. and be a licensed attorney in a United States jurisdiction (a state or the District of Columbia) or able to be licensed at the time appointment begins.
