This has been a hectic time preparing for law school dean transitions. Three well-established deans have announced they are stepping down.
Annette Clark has announced that, at the end of the school year, she will step down as dean of Seattle University Law. She has been in the position since 2013. Ward Farnsworth has announced he will step down as the dean of Texas Law at the end of the academic year as well. He has been the dean since 2012. Finally, Nancy Staudt will be leaving her post as dean of Washington University in St. Louis Law, effective October 1. She took the helm in 2014. Staudt will take on a leadership position at RAND.
Lot's of big searches in the coming year!

Oh, and Tulsa apparently had a failed search last year, but I'm not sure how long the interim person agreed to serve.

you left out UM

I assumed UM would let a year or so go by with an interim in hopes that the (justified) outrage would die down a bit. I couldn't imagine many folks would be willing to apply right now.

To the list add New England Law, whose dean, Scott Brown, just this week resigned - "effective immediately" - after less than eight months into a five year contract.

Why so abrupt and sudden, and just as the new school year is to begin?

Is this a normal number of such searches?
