Lolita Buckner Inniss (currently Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, University Distinguished Professor, Robert G. Storey Distinguished Faculty Fellow, and Professor of Law at SMU) has been named dean of the University of Colorado Law School, effective July 1, 2021. She will become Colorado Law’s first African-American dean and second woman to lead the school.

Congrats to Dean Inniss! As someone that was previously a finalist with her in a different search, I know of her brilliance and incredible credentials. Colorado is lucky to have her!!!

Dr. Inniss is indeed brilliant and has incredible credentials, but I'm curious how being a finalist in the same search would have lead you to "know" that. Did this particular search have the finalists interact with one another?
