Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor
Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law seeks an outstanding educator/scholar to join its faculty. We welcome applications from candidates across all areas of law. This entry-level or junior lateral tenure-track faculty position will be filled at the Assistant/Associate Professor level depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

John F. Scarpa Professor of Entrepreneurship
As part of a building naming gift, we have the opportunity to hire our inaugural Scarpa Professor of Entrepreneurship, a continuing non-tenure position devoted to experiential and doctrinal aspects of entrepreneurship and law. We seek an outstanding lawyer-educator-entrepreneur to serve in a unique role as a teacher-scholar, thought-leader, and change-agent in entrepreneurship and innovation. The professor would teach both experiential and non-experiential classes. The experiential classes allow students to provide direct representation to entrepreneurs, businesses, and social ventures from the Philadelphia region. We seek an outstanding lawyer-educator to direct and teach its Clinic for Asylum, Refugee & Emigrant Services (CARES) during academic year 2021-22. The CARES Clinic represents individuals in immigration proceedings and advocates on issues impacting immigrant communities. The position is offered for one 12-month term to begin on July 1, 2021, with the possibility of renewal for an additional 12-month term. A two-year term is negotiable based on experience, and there may be opportunities to stay on longer, depending on circumstances.
We seek a qualified individual to teach in its Clinic for Asylum, Refugee & Emigrant Services (CARES) as a Clinical Fellow during academic year 2021-2022. The CARES Clinic represents refugees seeking religious or political asylum in the United States. The fellow will co-teach the CARES clinic seminar, including classes focused on lawyering skills, professional development, and ethical practice, employing clinical teaching methods. Fellow in Law, Business, and Economics
We seek a qualified individual to serve as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law and Fellow in Law, Business and Economics to supplement its other efforts associated with the Scarpa Center for Entrepreneurship & Law. The position is a 12-month, visiting position beginning in the summer of 2021, with the possibility of one additional 12-month term. The successful candidate will augment our efforts by focusing on teaching and scholarship at the intersection of law, business, and economics. Courses are subject to negotiation, based on the curricular needs of the Law School and the interests of the candidate.
Two Visiting Assistant Professors
We seek two qualified individuals to serve as Visiting Assistant Professors of Law during academic year 2021-22. Each position is a 10-month, visiting position beginning in the summer of 2021, with the possibility of one additional 10-month term. The successful candidates will each be responsible for teaching two courses, one per semester. The successful candidates will have ample time to focus on scholarship and be afforded access to the Law School’s library and related resources. Past Fellows and Visiting Assistant Professors of Law at Villanova have found great success in legal academia.
