University of New Hampshire Law Review: Call For Papers
Rights & Responsibilities: Judicial & Legislative Responses to the Covid-19 Pandemic
Symposium to be hosted online via ZOOM on 10/23/2020
State and federal governments have taken various actions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, including lockdowns and efforts to encourage social distancing; expanded unemployment insurance and other forms of economic stimulus; and efforts to expand testing and expedite development of vaccines and treatments. All the while, courts have addressed challenges to these efforts and have responded in their own ways. This symposium will consider the various responses to the Covid-19 pandemic and what they tell us about the role of different government actors in a crisis.
Interested individuals should submit an abstract to the contact below before 9/1/2020. The Law Review will choose four submission to present at the symposium on October 23, 2020. Final essays of approximately 20 pages will be published in the Law Review’s Annual Symposium Issue in Spring 2021.
