On Sunday, April 19, I announced the "Zoom School of Law" Twitter "seminar" on the "law" of memes and trolling. Among other things, I noted that I would be "teaching" a "class" titled "Plagiarism is Love" and invited readers to "matriculate." Well, I posted my "class" yesterday, and it is available here, if you happen to be interested. Among other things, I reflect on my several articles questioning the justification and legitimacy of academic plagiarism norms, in a range of different formats. I also link to a podcast interview I recorded, in which I extol the virtues of student plagiarism, and the upcoming virtual episode of University of Chicago philosophy professor Agnes Callard's "Night Owls" series, in which I will offer a "defense" of plagiarism norms.
Today is the last day of the "class." Why not enroll? It's never too late to get your troll on.
PS I am providing "participation awards" to everyone who "enrolls" by sending me their mailing address, in the form of a "Troll Scouts" patch. Get yours while supplies last!
PPS Many thanks to Kathleen Burke, "Senior Fellow at the Zoom School of Law Memes & Trolling Clinic" and recent graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law for conceiving, organizing, and executing this epically trolly endeavor.
