Charleston School of Law announced this morning that Larry Cunningham, the associate dean for assessment and institutional effectiveness (and former vice-dean) at St. John's University School of Law, will become its next dean. Cunningham holds a JD from Georgetown. He will take over this summer.
Congratulations.

A superb selection -- it's really hard to think of a better, more experienced and skilled law school administrator. And he's a strong teacher and very decent person -- our loss at St. John's, and a great get for Charleston.

He is currently "Dean for assessment and institutional effectiveness".
WTF is that?
It likely means he helps sub-par students who shouldn't be lawyers to get over the hurdle of the courses and bar exam, to make the school look better.
