Well, at least not all schools are going the "keep the dean candidates secret" route. FAMU Law has announced (here) the three finalists for the dean position. They are:
- Roederick White, Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the Southern University Law Center
- andré douglas pond cummings, Associate Professor at University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law
- James Crawford, US Navy JAG (retired)
Update 2:30 pm:
Something is going at FAMU. Less than an hour after I posted the names of the three finalists for the FAMU dean search, it looks like those candidates have been scrapped and three new candidates are now listed (here). The new candidates are:
- Associate Dean Deidre’ A. Keller
- Interim Dean Nicola Boothe Perry
- Associate Dean Russell McClain
In case FAMU changes the links, included after the fold are (not great) screenshots of the announcement of the first three finalists and the announcement of new three finalists.
Very strange indeed.
Update 3:45 pm:
A reader wrote to me individually and said that the "mystery" is solved, because the first sent of candidates interviewed in May 2019 and the second set of candidates are interviewing this month. Nothing to see here?
