A Louisiana legislature committee has voted to request the Louisiana Board of Regents to study the possibility of expanding Southern University Law into Shreveport. This isn't the first effort to open a law school in that city. Earlier in the decade, Louisiana College spent over $5 million on an ill-fated plan to open a law school there.
