Roy Clark passed away last week at the age of 85. As the long-time host of the syndicated television show Hee-Haw, he is mostly remembered in some quarters as a jokester. He did indeed emphasize humor in his act, including the many "Pickin' and Grinnin'" segments with Buck Owens and others. But Clark was also a virtuoso instrumentalist, playing guitar, banjo, and fiddle in styles ranging from country to classical to jazz to flamenco.
The third soloist is Roy Acuff. This is one of the few clips in which he plays the fiddle.
Thanks for this!
