From an email message that I received earlier today:
The University of Arkansas School of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions to begin in Fall 2019.
Areas of particular interest include legal research and writing, evidence, professional responsibility, family law, bankruptcy, commercial law, corporate law, and tax. Coverage in most first-year courses is also needed. In addition to teaching, other duties will include scholarly research and service activities for the law school. Please note that in furtherance of the law school’s fundamental commitment to experiential learning, legal research and writing professors have full tenure rights and equal voting privileges on all faculty issues. Minimum qualifications include a JD degree or international law degree, distinguished academic record, and scholarly promise.
The University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, located in the northwest corner of the state, is the flagship campus of the University of Arkansas. The University of Arkansas is an equal opportunity, affirmative action institution. The University welcomes applications without regard to age, race/color, gender (including pregnancy), national origin, disability, religion, marital or parental status, protected veteran status, military service, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity. Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment. All applicant information is subject to public disclosure under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.
Entry-level applicants are encouraged to rely on the AALS hiring process. Lateral applicants may submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and teaching evaluations to Steve Clowney, Chair of the Faculty Appointments Committee, at [email protected].
