The University of Washington School of Law has announced four finalists in their search for a new dean. They are Mario Barnes (UCI), Curtis Bridgeman (Willamette), Amy Wildermuth (Utah), and Brent White (Arizona.) Details are here.

It would appear UW lacks ambition. Why do Dean candidates all sound like characters from some dystopian novel about the gray bureaucratic future in which we are destined to live?
