Following his great stint as a guest, we are delighted to announce that Anthony Gaughan is joining The Faculty Lounge as a permanent blogger. Tony is the Clemens J. Smith Faculty Research Scholar at the Drake University Law School, where he teaches Election Law, Civil Procedure, National Security Law, and Evidence. A decorated Iraq veteran and a former big firm litigator, Tony also holds a PhD in History from the University of Wisconsin. His book, The Last Battle of the Civil War: United States versus Lee, 1861-1883 (LSU Press, 2011) is the definitive work on the post-bellum litigation over Arlington Cemetery.
