I was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Raymond Nimmer, a long time faculty member, Associate Dean, and Dean of the University of Houston Law Center, and national and international leader in the areas of commercial and information technology law. He was one of my first contacts in American legal academia when I was a junior scholar in Australia and we had lengthy and always illuminating email conversations about personal property securities law and information technology law for many years. He was a respected mentor and friend, and I am grateful for the time I spent as his colleague in Houston. The impact he had on the fields he worked in will endure for years to come.
I'm real sorry to hear this.
