The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University seeks to fill up to four tenure-track positions. Candidates must have a strong commitment to serious scholarship. We will consider all subject areas but primarily seek candidates interested in teaching one or more required or “core” courses. We are particularly interested in candidates who will enhance the diversity of our faculty.
As both a national and leading regional school, Hofstra Law is a distinguished center of legal scholarship in the service of justice and is committed to serving its local communities (which include Americans from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and range from extraordinary affluence to entrenched suburban poverty), participating in the national scholarly dialogue, and educating attorneys for the local bar as well as the broader national economy.
Candidates should send a cover letter and resume, including a description of areas of interest, and copies of representative works to Professor Linda Galler, Chair of the Faculty Appointments Committee, [email protected]. Hofstra Law School is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and we especially encourage women and members of minority groups to apply.
I hope your recruitment works better than your adjunct recruitment process. Emails and questions sent in reply to adjunct faculty recruitment ads are ignored and even if a CV is stellar and matches with the need there is no response.
