The Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for two tenured/tenure-track positions in business and corporate law (business organizations, finance, securities) and cyberlaw (cyber regulation, cybersecurity, information privacy, electronic commerce).
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to scholarly achievement. Law faculty are expected to engage in significant scholarship, with diverse educational, methodological, or practice perspectives. Drexel is committed to cross-campus collaboration and research that extends beyond disciplinary borders. The Law School curriculum combines theory and practice, with a professional practice requirement of one cooperative or clinical experience before graduation.
Applications are encouraged from people of color, individuals with disabilities, people of all sexual and gender identities, and those with diverse backgrounds, experiences or viewpoints. The Law School, founded in 2006, offers concentrations in Business and Entrepreneurship Law, Intellectual Property Law, Heath Law, and Criminal Law, and a several joint degree programs including a joint JD/MBA. The Law School also offers programs in cybersecurity and information privacy compliance, and financial regulatory compliance.
Though young, the Law School has already been recognized for its successes; it was ranked in the Top 50 Law Schools by Above the Law, #30 for employment outcomes by the National Law Journal, and #26 in Law School Transparency employment scoring. The Law School will open a state-of-the-art trial advocacy facility in downtown Philadelphia this January.
Located in Philadelphia's University City, Drexel is a research-intensive doctoral university with strengths in engineering, business, and medicine, and a strong cyber research presence through its College of Computing and Informatics, and the Isaac L. Auerbach Cybersecurity Institute.
