The University of Dayton School of Law invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to begin during the 2018-2019 academic year. Our curricular needs are diverse, so we will consider outstanding candidates in any field. We have a special interest in candidates who express a willingness to teach Criminal Law, Contracts, Commercial Law, Business Associations, Constitutional Law, Property, International Law, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Tax, Trusts and Estates, or Intellectual Property. Applicants must have a J.D., LL.M., or J.S.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. Other preferred qualifications include: an outstanding academic record; a history of scholarship and publication; success or demonstrated potential for success in American law teaching; a perceived potential to successfully mentor underrepresented minority students; demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds; experience in law practice; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and an expressed willingness to engage with Catholic and Marianist educational values.
