The University of Georgia School of Law invites applications for the Verner F. Chaffin Chair in Fiduciary Law beginning August of 2018. Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and be able to join the faculty at the rank of full professor, meaning that they should have (1) superior academic credentials, (2) a record of scholarly excellence and impact, (3) superior teaching ability, (4) a record of participation in institutional and professional service, and (5) national or international recognition in their field. Applicants should also have a demonstrated teaching or scholarly interest in the field of wills, trusts, and estates. The position will be located in Athens, Georgia. Athens is an energetic city with a vibrant arts and cultural environment. It is located 75 miles northeast of Atlanta.
