Marjorie Kornhauser (Tulane) has launched a new project that seeks to provide non-partisan, non-technical and accessible tax information for the general public. The project is called "Tax Jazz: The Tax Literacy Project." The website is here. It has easy-to-understand materials and excellent posts on topics like, "How do we define a fair tax?" Although the site is not designed with law students specifically in mind, there are some good materials that would be helpful in an introductory income tax class. I look forward to seeing how this project grows, because there is definitely a need for more basic economic and tax literacy.
Start with our new leader.

Our new leader once enrolled, will require an IEP, a self-contained Therapeutic Classroom, Adderall (medication monitoring) and a Cliff Notes textbook, with pictures. Example: Big Dollar sign with muscles equals cheaper imported oil and Toyotas. No more phone calls to a military guy to explain Econ 099. Samuelson's "Economics" will be too much for him.
