From an email message which I received earlier today:
Suffolk University Law School in Boston invites applications for a position as a full-time Legal Practice Skills (LPS) Visiting Professor for the upcoming academic school year (2016-2017). The visitor will teach the first-year LPS course and collaborate with other faculty teaching in the first-year program. The successful applicant will teach two sections of LPS I (3 cr. each) in the fall as well as two sections of LPS II (2 cr.) in the spring. In addition to teaching, the visitor will maintain regular office hours, grade several student assignments throughout the semester, and hold individual conferences. Interested candidates must have a J.D. and be admitted to a bar. Previous teaching of legal writing is preferred. A complete application should be sent to Donna Moray at [email protected] and must include a letter detailing desire and qualifications to teach LPS, a curriculum vitae, as well as a list of at least three professional references. Applications will be accepted until July 28, 2016.
We welcome applications from all persons of high academic achievement with a strong commitment to legal writing and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. We particularly encourage applications from women, people of color, and others whose backgrounds will contribute to the diversity of the faculty.
