I'm delighted to report that David Schraub is stepping into the faculty lounge to sit with us for a spell. David is a graduate student in Political Theory at the University of California and the Darling Foundation Fellow in Public Law at Berkeley Law.
Cribbing now from David's website at the Berkeley political science department:
David's research focuses on problems of contemporary discrimination, implicit bias, and deliberation amongst diverse and stratified publics. His scholarship has been published or accepted for publication in, among other locations, the California Law Review, the University of Chicago Law Review, the Loyola University (Chicago) Law Journal, the Boston University Law Review, and Social Theory & Practice. He also taught graduate-level classes in Anti-Discrimination and Constitutional Law.
Prior to coming to Berkeley, David served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Law and clerked for Judge Diana E. Murphy on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Most recently, David was an associate at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C., where he focused his practice on energy and Indian law matters. He graduated with high honors from the University of Chicago Law School, and earned his degree in Political Science, magna cum laude and with distinction, from Carleton College.
