Assistant Professor of Law ~ Position Announcement
The University of Dayton School of Law seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in the 2016-2017 academic year to teach the first-year courses Contracts I and Contracts II, as well as related upper-level courses such as Business Associations.
Applicants must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a demonstrated ability to teach contract law and related subjects. Preference will be given to candidates with outstanding academic records; a history of scholarship and publication in the field of contract law or related subjects; prior successful experience in law teaching, especially if the experience relates to the subjects to be taught; prior experience in law practice, again if the experience relates to the subjects to be taught; excellent communication skills; effective interpersonal skills with various constituencies; availability to begin teaching in the Summer 2016 session (May to August, 2016); and sensitivity to Catholic and Marianist values.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
