CAMPBELL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Director of Legal Research and Writing to commence in the Fall Semester 2016. The successful applicant for this position will be expected to direct, manage, and teach in the required legal research and writing program for 1L students. The Director of Legal Research and Writing will, among other possible duties:
Design and implement the 1L legal writing curriculum;
Develop legal writing course materials, including assignments, problems, and instructional materials as needed;
Teach at least one section of students in the 1L legal writing program;
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate adjunct legal writing faculty; and
Coordinate, collaborate, and cooperate with the faculty, generally, and the Directory of Advocacy, specifically, to support the goals of Campbell’s program of legal education.
Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, experience in teaching in a law school legal writing program, either as a full-time faculty member or as an adjunct, a proven record of outstanding classroom teaching, and a proven record of (or demonstrated potential for) outstanding scholarship.
