Willamette has lost a lot of senior professors. I suspect they are trying to replace higher paid professors with new professors who will command a lower salary.
Willamette uses the conditional scholarship trick. Every incoming student gets a conditional scholarship, requiring a certain GPA to keep the scholarship. However, the school grades on a curve, so they know that only a percentage of the matriculating students will be able to keep their scholarship. I fell for this trick about a decade ago. Buyer beware, I guess.
You can't spell Willamette without L-A-M-E.
