Charleston Law, which has been in finance-related tumult for a while and was recently enjoined from firing a tenure faculty member, has now announced that it will not be offering tenure to anyone (for the time being at least.) The school administration identified three tenure-qualified candidates who, for financial reasons, it will not presently tenure. The Post and Courier article is here. The letter from the Charleston administration to the tenure-track faculty is here.
H/T Paul Caron.

Brian's last three comments were caught in the spam filter, which I had not checked earlier on Saturday, as was one from Second Try. I have now explained this in a comment to the post in question.
