LSAC has reported that 28,585 people took the LSAT in December, an increase of 0.8% from December 2013. Adding the December 2014 number to the 52,746 tests administered in June and October 2014, a total of 81,331 tests have been administered thus far in the 2014-2015 LSAT cycle, which will end in February (though in recent years some applicants have used the June administration for admission for the following fall). In the corresponding three LSAT administrations in the 2013-2014 cycle, 86,033 tests were administered. Thus, at this point in the current LSAT cycle, the number of tests is down 5.5% from last year. Note that we are dealing with numbers of tests administered, not individuals who have taken the LSAT. Some people undoubtedly took the LSAT more than once during the relevant months–within a test cycle and/or in different cycles.
