COMMERCIAL LAW TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION
The University of South Dakota School of Law expects to have a tenure-track assistant professor, nine-month faculty position available for the 2015-2016 academic year to teach three commercial law courses, including Secured Transactions, and one course in another area. The other area is flexible, depending on the interest and competency of the candidate, but international business transactions, international law, or intellectual property are probable areas of need.
The successful applicant must be a licensed attorney in a United States jurisdiction (a state or the District of Columbia) by the time of the appointment.
The overall purpose is to fulfill the tripartite responsibilities of a tenure-track faculty member: teaching, research, and service.

LECTURER-IN-LAW POSITION
The University of South Dakota School of Law is will have a lecturer in law position, which is a renewable, non-tenure track, nine-month teaching faculty position beginning the 2015-2016 academic year. The lecturer will teach courses related to Legal Writing and Fundamental Skills, assist with co-curricular activities and the academic support program, and could teach one upper-division substantive class depending on candidate interest, qualifications, and the needs of the school. All applicants must demonstrate performance in teaching and service relevant to the position.
