I know I was on the edge of my seat.

As you know, one of the criticisms of law professors is that we don't care about students, that we're just in it for ourselves. You and I both know that's not true.

But your post here displays a remarkable lack of caring and respect.

This young woman sounds incredibly accomplished and interesting, to boot. How do you think she would feel to have her parents come across your post, or to have it forwarded to her? Where a law professor with an endowed chair mocks her accomplishment?

Jeff, you're a better person than that. Please consider removing your unkind comment.

Lisa, is odd that you view this as a rap against the student. I do not follow the logic. In fact, I am not on the edge of my seat to find out who is the eic of any law review. Announcing it in a blog simply perpetuates the completely irrational appeal to institutional authority that many law professors to which many in our profession are addicted.
