This is good news. Thank you Iowa Law. Maybe sanity and transparency will return to legal education pricing.


It should be pointed out that the university asked the Regents only to cut out of state tuition by that much with a small increase for in state students. Since Iowa makes it easy to claim in state status starting in 2L, this reduction would have affected just a small number of students. Instead the Regents insisted on slashing in state tuition by the same percentage. It'll be interesting to see how the law school and the central administration handle this unplanned turn of events.
