Anaya on Adoptive Couple v. Baby Girl

From turtle talk comes news of University of Arizona law professor James Anaya's appeal for consideration for the wellbeing of baby Veronica, who is at the center of the United States Supreme Court's decision this summer in Adoptive Couple v. Baby Girl.  Anaya spoke in his capacity as the UN's special rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples.  Last week the Oklahoma Supreme Court granted a stay of enforcement of an order transfering Veronica to her adoptive parents.
