On Friday, the governing board of the University of North Carolina voted to bar housing arrangements on all UNC system campuses that would allow men to share intimate living space with women.
Or at least that's how the board is spinning it.
There's another way to see what the board's up to.
If a man can't share intimate living space with a woman, who must he live with? Why, another man. (Same goes for a woman, but in reverse.)
So what the UNC system is really mandating is that men sleep, shower, and undress around other men, while women sleep, shower, and undress around other women.
Mandatory same-sex intimacy!
Who knew my state was so progressive?
