A History of the Philosophy of Law in the Common Law World, 1600-1900 (2007), and the co-authored
The Oxford History of the Laws of England, Volumes XI, XII, and XIII: 1820-1914 (2010). He is also the co-editor of a number of volumes and author of numerous articles and book chapters.
