Maybe because I taught Sanborn v. McLean recently I've been thinking about gas stations. Anyway, I thought I'd put up this photograph of an old Gulf station from Siler City, North Carolina, which I took last summer. It's either Sanborn v. McLean or the controversy over Edward Hopper's estate that put that former Gulf station in mind.
I have to say that would have been a much better photograph without the two recylcing bins. Next time I'm up that way I'll try to get a picture without them....
