From an email that I received earlier today:
The Department of Political Science at Binghamton University (SUNY) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in American Politics, to begin August 2013. We are especially interested in applicants whose teaching and research lies at the intersection of American institutions and behavior. This includes congressional, judicial, executive, or electoral politics scholars whose research and teaching appeals to audiences not just in political science but also in law and economics. Advanced methodological skills and theoretical grounding in social choice or game theory are desirable. Candidates should submit a letter of interest, CV, writing sample, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and three letters of reference. Applications received by November 1, 2012 will be given first consideration, although we will accept applications until the position has been filled. Binghamton University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. The Department encourages and actively seeks applications from women and members of traditionally underrepresented groups. Submit applications at http://binghamton.interviewexchange.com/jobofferdetails.jsp?JOBID=34905.
