Dean John Carroll, who has lead the Cumberland Law School at Samford University since 2001, announced today that he will return to teaching at the end of the 2012-13 school year. John was a highly respected lawyer and judge prior to joining Cumberland and, by all accounts, he was equally effective and popular as a dean. He'll be a tough act to follow. But for all of you potential dean candidates out there: Birmingham is a great place to live!
A virtual "for he's a jolly good fellow" for Dean Carroll! I very much enjoyed working with him at Cumberland. An extremely collegial atmosphere, and a very warm environment for students.
