Today's Tuscaloosa News brings news that the Metropolitan Musuem of Art has named a gallery on early to mid-nineteenth century American art ("Emergence of the Hudson River School, 1825–50") after benefactors Jack and Susan Warner. I hope to take in that gallery (number 759 on this map) sometime, though I'm guessing it won't be anytime soon.
Still no word on the fate of Asher Durand's 1853 landscape Progress, which was sold by the Westervelt Company last year.
