James Q. Wilson, the noted political scientist who co-authored the Atlantic Monthly article, Broken Windows: The Police and Neighborhood Safety and many other works (including Moral Judgment: Does the Abuse Excuse Threaten Our Legal System? and The Marriage Problem: How Our Culture Has Weakened Families) died today. At his death, he held the position of Ronald Reagan Professor of Public Policy at Pepperdine. He had previously taught at Harvard and UCLA. Wilson was 80.
