Acoustic Separation In Supreme Court Reporting

The LA Times reports:

"Justices Poised to Strike Down Entire Health Care Law"

CNN reports:

"Supreme Court Appears Willing to Let Most of Health Care Law Stand"

How the hell are Calvin and I supposed to prognosticate about the Fall 2012 election when there are apparently two different groups of Justices claiming to be the "Supreme Court"?
