The Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law has announced three finalists in its dean search. The candidates are: Doug Sylvester (the interim dean of the law school), Janet Levit (Tulsa), and Ralph Brubaker (Illinois). The new dean will replace Paul Berman, who now heads George Washington Law.
I hope Douglas Sylvester is chosen for the deanship. The ASU students love him and he's brought a lot of creative ideas to the school for increasing scholarships, helping graduates get jobs, and offering CLEs to practicing attorneys through the school. He has done a lot in one year to improve the school's quality and reputation with its alumni.
